30 Day Book Challenge: Day 17 - Favourite Quote from Favourite Book
I couldn't possibly choose just one book. Nor just one quote!
So here are some of my favourites, in no particular order:
"What ho! I said.
"What ho!" said Motty.
"What ho! What ho!"
"What ho! What ho! What ho"
After that it seemed rather difficult to go on with the conversation.
"It's an odd thing, happiness. Some people take happiness from gold. Or Black pearls. And some of us, far more fortunate, take their happiness from periwinkles."
"I don't want whatever I want. Nobody does. Not really. What kind of fun would it be if I just got everything I ever wanted just like that, and it didn't mean anything? What then?"
"There are ships sailing to many ports, but not a single one goes where life is not painful."
"You love me. Real or not real?"
I tell him, "Real."
"But it's hard to leave a place when you're tied to it by fear, when it's broken you with fear, when it's all you've ever known."
"Most courage comes from being too tired and hungry to be afraid anymore."
"You forget what you want to remember, and you remember what you want to forget."
"Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us and, sometimes, they win."
