I actually find it sad that I can't have a printed copy of this book, I wish some big publisher would pick it up so I could have it on my non-virtual bookshelves. Several reviews have compared it to [b:Shards of Honour|61903|Shards of Honour (Vorkosigan Saga, #1)|Lois McMaster Bujold|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51S86PPBW9L._SL75_.jpg|9673658] and it's a well-deserved comparison. While the dialogue may lack a bit of subtlety at times (though, I must say, it does improve vastly as the story progresses) the plot more than makes up for it. I couldn't put it down!I hope the author writes more on these characters, it would be a delight to know what happened to them. That being said, this book made me buy [b:The Emperor's Edge|10031259|The Emperor's Edge|Lindsay Buroker|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51jpNjpFc%2BL._SL75_.jpg|14926833] without hesitation. Here's to hoping it's as good as this one, if not better.
